Hanna Touma

Haute Couture is something that presents women in its best shape. Lots of fashion designers are specialized in this section but not all of them are perfect. In my country, Lebanon, there are many that are known internationally, but my preferred one is Hanna Touma and I would like to dedicate this post on my blog to talk a little about him and his “maison de couture.”

Hanna Touma been in this business for 40 years plus, and he succeeded in making the name famous in Lebanon, Arab Countries, Europe and all over the world. He liked woman and he dressed them with the best. That which makes her looks 100 times better. Let me say it another way: bring him an ugly woman and he will dress her and make her look like a princess. Today his daughter is also in the field, and she got on the same path as her father, as we noticed in the latest collections. He also has two sons who may join the team soon, we should wait and see.

In every new collection for Hanna Touma I can see a signature in the Design. Every piece is unique and when I look at it while reviewing the photos I shoot, I can see things that are really nice: a piece of art in every dress. The sequence how the show goes with the music that represents the theme, without forgetting about the cat walk and the whole setup built by his daughter Shirine. All this is remarkable and cannot be properly put into words. You should have the chance to see it for yourself. But I forgot to tell you how the show ends, the wedding dress Hanna Touma makes us wait for every year…Finally seeing the only wedding dress in the show. Not more than one, but that one is something that is the talk of many after the show. My favourite was the crystal.

If you meet him, you will find a person who is deeply down to earth. Vision, Fashion & Legacy in his eyes. Honestly I was impressed by this man, and every time I have a talk with, I learn something. He is just a wise man who I like to talk with and listen to.

It is hard to talk about someone who you respect a lot and his family, especially when words are not enough. Just consider this post an introduction for you to know this person and his work.

Maybe one day you will need to dress your mother, sister, wife, daughter, or any woman you know, with the best in the field, to let her shine like Cinderella between all the women in the world in a special eve…
